About us

Our Story

As our name suggests, Yarcombe Woodland Products first became established in the rural village of Yarcombe, Devon in 1981. Initially, the business was solely involved in the buying and re selling of fencing stakes to the rural community. By 1983, the business had already outgrown its then premises and moved to its current location in Hinton St George, Somerset. With the extra space we were then able to expand our product range at the time to include various sawn timber cuts and fence panels.

By understanding the importance of treating timber to ensure a high quality and durable product; Yarcombe Woodland Products invested in its own pressure treatment system, which provided us with the independence to treat our own and our customer’s timber in house.

With the continued support from our customers; 2009 saw us relocate to a new purpose built office and showroom. Improving customer experience and allowing us to stock a wide variety of timber fixtures and fittings and wire products for assorted needs.

Business continued to flourish throughout the years; and the increased demand for more bespoke products resulted in a commissioned workshop being constructed in 2013. Not only did this provide high quality working facilities for our staff, it enabled productivity of more challenging custom made products to be made with proficiency and skill. Our most recent business project involved adding an extension to the purpose built workshop and the installation of a bespoke automatic panel machine and stacking line. This has given us the ability to create stock panels for our customers with efficiency, whilst still maintaining a high quality product.

Today, we continue to have the means to manufacture a diverse range of wooden gates, fence panels and garden furniture; as well as holding a large stock of pressure treated timber, stakes, wire and galvanised products. Yarcombe Woodland Products is proud of how far it has come and is keen to continue growing whilst preserving the best service to our customers.
